Toyota Motor Corporation, a globally recognized automotive leader, operates a vast network of showrooms across Indonesia. While these showrooms strive to deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain efficient operations, many face challenges due to the reliance on legacy systems and manual processes.

Problem Background

Extensive research, encompassing interviews with showroom staff and in-depth analysis of industry best practices, revealed several key pain points hindering operational efficiency:

  • Fragmented Systems: The use of multiple, disconnected systems for inventory management, sales tracking, and customer relationship management created data silos and hindered a holistic view of operations.

  • Manual Processes: Many critical tasks, such as inventory updates, sales reporting, and customer follow-ups, were performed manually, leading to inefficiencies, errors, and delays.

  • Limited Real-time Visibility: The lack of real-time data insights made it challenging to proactively manage inventory levels, anticipate customer demands, and make informed business decisions.

Objective

The primary objective of the Toyota Car Showroom ERP Dashboard project was to address these challenges and empower Toyota showrooms to achieve operational excellence. The specific goals included:

  • Centralized Data Management: Implement a unified platform to consolidate data from various departments and systems, providing a comprehensive and real-time view of showroom operations.

  • Process Automation: Streamline and automate manual tasks to reduce errors, save time, and improve overall efficiency.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage real-time data and analytics to enable proactive decision-making, optimize inventory levels, and enhance sales performance.

  • Improved Customer Experience: Deliver a seamless and personalized customer experience through efficient order processing, timely deliveries, and proactive communication.

Empathize & Research

Research method:

  1. User interviews with showroom staff especially admins.

  2. Competitor and Secondary research on car showroom trends and best practices.

Target User:

Car Showroom Staff that familiar with ERP products of the showroom.

Competitor Analysis: To gain a deeper understanding of the market landscape and identify potential areas for differentiation, we conducted a thorough competitor analysis. The following insights highlight strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities observed in existing solutions.

Findings: Through the research process, we uncovered key pain points and opportunities that shaped the design direction. These insights, detailed below, provided a deep understanding of user needs and expectations.

User Persona

Meet Ridwan Chandra, a representation of our target user. Understanding their goals, frustrations, and behaviors was crucial in creating a user-centric solution.

Solution Ideation

Armed with research findings, I defined the core problems and brainstormed potential solutions. This section outlines 'How Might We' questions and the strategies I explored to address user needs.
